Students train in laboratory work, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, medical and surgical nursing, surgical assisting and veterinary office management.<\/p>\n<div id=\"program-quick-facts\" class=\"clearfix\">\n<h3 class=\"left third\">\u00a0Requirements:-<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 English<\/li>\n<li>Pure Math 30\u00a0<strong>or<\/strong>\u00a0Math 30-1\u00a0<strong>or<\/strong>\u00a030-2\u00a0<strong>or<\/strong>\u00a0Applied Math 30<\/li>\n<li>Chemistry 30<\/li>\n<li>Biology 30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In general, successful applicants to this program have a 75% overall average.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Phase 1<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Academic entrance requirements are reviewed by the Registrar&#8217;s Office and applicants are shortlisted for interviews. Last year, applicants successful in receiving an interview had a minimum average of 71%. Applicants with prior NAIT Health Sciences credentials or who have successfully completed at least\u00a0one\u00a0<strong>approved<\/strong>\u00a0Open Studies course in the School of Health and Life Sciences with a minimum of 75%\u00a0may be given special consideration for the interview shortlist.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Phase 2<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Shortlisted applicants are interviewed and ranked. Final selection is based strictly on the interview scores; academics presented in Phase 1 must be maintained. The format for Phase 2 is prerecorded online video interviews.
