The program emphasizes the recognition and appreciation of all the major values of the forest including timber, recreation, wildlife, range, fish, water, and visual landscapes. The program is accredited by the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board. Graduates of this program meet the required standard for membership in the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals (ABCFP) as Registered Forest Technologists (RFT).<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements:-<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.viu.ca\/calendar\/GeneralInformation\/admissions.asp#tradesappliedtech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General admission requirements<\/a>\u00a0apply.<\/li>\n<li>English 12 with minimum \u201cC\u201d grade, or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.viu.ca\/calendar\/GeneralInformation\/equivalencies.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">equivalent<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum \u201cC\u201d grade in either Principles of Mathematics 11 or Pre-calculus 11; or a minimum \u201cC+\u201d grade in Applications of Mathematics 11 or Foundations of Mathematics 11, or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.viu.ca\/calendar\/GeneralInformation\/equivalencies.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">equivalent<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>One science 11 with minimum \u201cC+\u201d grade.
