All prospective students must demonstrate English-language competency prior to admission. There are numerous ways to meet the\u00a0<a title=\"English Language Admission Standard\" href=\"http:\/\/you.ubc.ca\/applying-ubc\/english-language-competency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">English Language Admission Standard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>General admission requirements<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school:<\/strong>\u00a0Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII.\u00a0Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by school principal, head, or counsellor.
