The topics covered include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing methods<\/li>\n<li>Quality assurance<\/li>\n<li>Equipment selection<\/li>\n<li>Computer-aided engineering<\/li>\n<li>Building systems design and control<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical analysis<\/li>\n<li>Computer applications<\/li>\n<li>Supervision and management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will select some specialty electives in your last term. This specialization completes your training by providing deeper insight into areas of technology that are of interest to you. These areas of specialization have been developed to help meet the needs of industry.<\/p>\n<p>The Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma has been accredited by the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba<\/li>\n<li>Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists, providing Canada-wide reciprocity with other provincial organizations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to attend a program overview information session. You will also be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Post Type:-<\/strong>Diploma<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Duration:- <\/strong>28 months<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Commencing<\/b><strong>:- <\/strong>Year 2018<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Requirements:-<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Grade 12<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Submit proof of successful completion of or enrolment in Grade 12, including one credit in each of the following:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Grade 12 English<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Grade 12 Applied Math 40S or Pre-Calculus Math 40S<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Grade 12 Chemistry\u00a0or Physics<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Grade 12 Physics\u00a0is much more highly recommended than Grade 12 Chemistry\u00a0as an appropriate background for technology<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Due within 30 days of applying. However, if you apply within six weeks of the start date of the program, this item is due within 5 days of applying.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>If you provide proof of enrolment, your official final grades indicating successful completion must be submitted by July 15 for fall enrolment or by the deadline specified in your admission letter<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you completed your education outside of Canada or the United States, do not submit your international academic credentials until requested to do so.\u00a0 See Regular Admission Requirement 2 for more information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>English Language Requirements (ELRs)<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>If you were educated outside of Canada or the United States, submit results of an English language proficiency assessment (ELPA) indicating you meet the following ELRs:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Certificate &#8211; exit Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels from an English as a second language (ESL) program:<br \/>\nListening 8, Speaking 8, Reading 8, Writing 8<br \/>\nor<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>International English Language Testing System (IELTS &#8211; Academic):<br \/>\nListening 6.5, Speaking 6.5, Reading 6.5, Writing 6.0<br \/>\nor<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees (CanTEST):<br \/>\nListening 4.5,\u00a0 Speaking 4.5,\u00a0 Reading 4.5,\u00a0 Writing 4.0<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Due within 30 days of applying.
