industries, such as those concerned with the manufacture of chemicals, food, fuel and pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Chemical Engineering was founded in 1912 and undergraduate degrees were first formally taught from 1937.<\/p>\n<p>On this\u00a0professionally accredited\u00a0course, you will learn to apply scientific, engineering and business principles to a variety of complex practical issues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row wysiwyg\">\n<p>Students on this course will be fully qualified in Chemical Engineering but will also take a series of specialist modules which will studying A-levels:<\/p>\n<p>Three A-level offer:\u00a0A*A*A*<\/p>\n<p>Four A-level offer:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>A*A*AA\u2013A*A*A*A<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subject and grade requirements (2018 entry)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We expect applicants for 2018 entry to meet the following grade requirements in these subjects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A* in Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>A* in Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>A in a relevant subject(s) including Physics, Biology, Further Mathematics and\/or Economics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>General Studies and Critical Thinking\u00a0are not\u00a0accepted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practical endorsement (practical science assessment)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are made an offer you will be required to achieve a pass in the practical endorsement in all science subjects that form part of the
