You will develop medical innovations that really contribute to better care. This dynamic, interdisciplinary field combines engineering and natural and life sciences, such as biology, nanotechnology, physics, electrical engineering, chemistry and mechanical engineeringThe role of technology in healthcare is gaining importance. Therefore there is a growing need for engineers with broad technical knowledge, insight into the workings of the human body and creative ideas. During this programme you will be trained to be such an engineer. You will be taught to research, design and develop technology for healthcare. You will use and develop technology to realize new and original applications. Biomedical Engineering is an interdisciplinary field, combining engineering with the natural and life sciences.<\/p>\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink foldabledeeplink--disabled foldabledeeplink--active\">\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink__foldcontainer\">\n<div class=\"foldabledeeplink__text\">\n<p class=\"normal\">The programme is closely associated with the\u00a0MIRA\u00a0Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine. MIRA ranks among the top five bioengineering departments worldwide.
