Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate (GED) WITH:
– The combined Language Arts – Reading AND Language Arts – Writing test results having a minimum average Standard Score of 520 AND:
– Mathematics ONE OF:

English Language Requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in English by one of the following methods:

  • A Grade 12 College Stream or University Stream English credit as part of a minimum of four consecutive English credits at the high school level in Canada
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test with a minimum score of 577 for the paper-based test (PBT), or 91 for the Internet-based test (iBT), with test results within the last two years
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test with an overall score of 6.5 with no score less than 6.0 in any of the four bands, with test results within the last two years.  SDS Program Requirements.
  • Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) test with a minimum score of 81 with at least a 3+ on the oral interview.

The Master of Health Sciences (MHSc) program focuses on providing students with opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills required to conduct high-quality research projects that culminate in a master’s thesis or major project.

As a research-based degree, students will combine course work, seminars and independent research to achieve the program’s core objectives. Two required courses, Health Research Approaches and either Studies in Community Health (Community Health), Patient Journey Modelling (Health Informatics) or Studies in Kinesiology.

Requirements:-

  • Hold a four-year honours undergraduate degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum overall academic standing of a B (GPA: 3.0 on a 4.3 scale or 73 to 76 per cent), with a minimum B average in the last two full-time years (four semesters) of undergraduate work or equivalent.
  • Undergraduate preparation in research methods in either quantitative or qualitative analysis. This should include experience and training in statistics. Applicants planning to study in the field of Health Informatics should also have training or experience with computing or information technology within the health care domain.
  • Applicants planning to study in the field of Kinesiology will be expected to have an honours undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, or a related field.
