If you are starting your business career and you want a degree EIT’s Bachelor of Business Studies BBS is just right for you.   Alternatively, you might not yet know what direction you want to take your career but know you want a degree; in this case a business degree is a good option because it will develop your generic skills that could be used in a wide variety of careers.

Our philosophy is that business is a practical subject and that is how we teach it so don’t be surprised when you are asked solve problems in the complex world of people and uncertainty.

There are lots of business degrees and content is often quite similar but we feel our point of difference is that we offer a supportive learning environment because of our smaller class size and positive staff with lots of practical experience.

Requirements:-

ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet degree standard entry requirements. Approved bridging programmes include the EIT Applied Diploma in Business and New Zealand Diploma in Business or provisional entry without prerequisites for those over 20 years.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to have attained an acceptable level of English Language fluency. This may be demonstrated in a variety of ways, including successful study in English, approved scores on TOEFL or IELTS (6.0 Academic) tests, completion of accepted international equivalents, or completion of an EIT assessment.

ENTRY WITH CREDIT

You may already have some knowledge or skills that can be recognised as part of your intended study. This may take a number of different forms including study while at high school, study at a private training establishment, workplace training, other tertiary study, life experiences or voluntary work. If you think you qualify, you may want to apply for Cross Credit or Recognition of Prior Learning.

How to apply:-

RPL and Cross Credit cannot be awarded for a course if you are enrolled in that course. An original transcript or notice of results from the institute at which you previously studied (or verified copies) will be required for all applications.

Successful pilots and business people have a lot in common — they are skilled communicators, develop plans for success, assess conditions, and anticipate change. Take your passion for flight to new heights with UFV Aviation’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).

You get to graduate with a bachelor’s degree, private pilot’s license, commercial pilot’s license, and several ratings that enable you to fly multiple types of aircraft in varying conditions. Your pilot’s license is in accordance with ICAO standards, meaning you can fly domestically and internationally.

Throughout the program, you take a combination of flight training, aviation theory, and academic courses.

You complete your flight training at an external flight training provider, approved by UFV.

In your first year, you earn your private and commercial pilot’s licenses; in your third and fourth year, you fly multi-engine aircraft, master instrumentation, and specialize with either a Heavy Jet Transport or Professional Flight Instructor option.

Requirements:-

     For High school graduates

  1. B.C. secondary school graduation, or equivalent. (Students who have completed a high school equivalency program will also be considered but may have to complete the specific entrance requirements below.)
  2. Prerequisites for MATH 141.
  3. Prerequisites for CMNS 125.
  4. Physics 11 or equivalent, with a minimum of C+.

    Note: Accounting 11 or 12, Physics 12, and second language courses are recommended.

  5. Current Transport Canada Category 1 medical certification.
  6. In addition to the above, applicants must also satisfy an entrance evaluation which includes an interview(s), a qualifying exam, and an assessment of references.

    • Proof of B.C. secondary school completion or equivalent, and transcript (or interim transcript) showing grade achievement as per entrance requirements.
    • Transcripts showing grade achievement for any post-secondary study.
    • A medical certificate showing a Transport Canada Category 1 Medical.
  2. Apply to Coastal Pacific Aviation at coastalpacific.com.
  3. Qualified applicants will be interviewed by Coastal Pacific during February or March for September enrolment.
  4. After evaluations have been made, interviewed candidates will receive a letter stating the results. Candidates being offered a seat will receive a confirming letter, outlining registration details and starting dates. Prior to acceptance the candidate may be required to provide proof of financial ability to pay for educational expenses.
  5. Any requests for transfer of academic course equivalencies should be made to the Office of the Registrar; requests for transfer of aviation- or flight-related courses should be made directly to Coastal Pacific Aviation.

A four-year, 124-credit program which provides for advanced study beyond the Criminal Justice diploma program. Specifically, the program prepares students for front-line jobs after two years, but it also provides them with the opportunity beyond that (within an additional two years of study) to acquire a liberal arts orientation and the research skills, knowledge base, and analytical ability necessary for graduate studies and advanced career opportunities in the criminal justice field. This program will be of interest to people already working in the criminal justice field who seek supervisory positions, and to those who ultimately seek careers in the areas of criminal investigation, national security, evaluation research, crime prevention, offender case management (including probation and parole), and criminal law.

Requirements:-

  1. Undergo an initial security clearance check and further checks as may be required in individual courses. (Please do not submit until requested.)
  2. Provide a statement from a physician as evidence of good health as may be required in individual courses. (Please do not submit until requested.)
  3. Attend an orientation session during which criminal justice faculty present an overview of the options available and career opportunities in criminal justice. Students will be contacted regarding the orientation process.

Option 1: High school (for students with high school graduation only)

  1. B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of a B average in the following: English 12 (see Note) and two other Approved Grade 12 courses.

    Note: English 12 equivalent courses include English 12 First Peoples, English Literature 12, AP English, and IB English A (standard level or higher level).

  3. Prerequisite to or completion of CMNS 125 or ENGL 105. Acceptance will be conditional upon proof of having met this entrance requirement. Applicants are encouraged to submit proof as soon as it is available and prior to registering.

  1. Applicants will be advised of an admission decision and provided with registration information. A deposit is required prior to registration (see the Fees and Other Costs section). This money will be applied toward tuition fees. Final payment of all course fees are due by the end of the second week of classes.
  2. In cases where course work is in progress, an admission decision may be made conditional upon completion of academic requirements. Proof of completion of entrance requirements is due by the end of the first week in August for the September intake.

Humber’s Bachelor of Commerce – Supply Chain Management degree program provides grounding in both general business knowledge and specialized supply chain skills across a wide range of industries. Our program starts with a foundation of business studies in areas such as organizational behaviour, law, economics, finance and accounting, marketing, and operations management. Specialization courses will focus on using current theories, methods and techniques to problem solve and develop supply chain management strategies.

Our supply chain specialists use case studies and a project-based curriculum to help you apply your classroom learning to real-life situations.     • Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) minimum 65 per cent
    • Grade 12 Mathematics (MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) minimum 60 per cent (Students who do not possess Grade 12U Mathematics or who have achieved a grade below 60 per cent may be considered for admission. Students will be required to complete a math equivalency course during their first semester at Humber. Additional course fees will apply.)
    • Four Grade 12 U or M courses in addition to those listed above
    • Overall minimum grade point average (GPA) 65 per cent

All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Humber’s English Language Proficiency Policy.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents with international education are required to provide a WES or ICAS evaluation.
