They are looking for highly motivated, creative and ambitious applicants with an excellent academic record and the ability to collaborate with other members of a multidisciplinary team, whilst developing their own research project. The grades at the qualifying MSc examination needs to be C or better (ECTS scale from A-E) to be admitted to the program. However, the Faculty seeks highly qualified candidates with top grades.
At the time of taking up the appointment, the candidate should have an MSc degree (or equivalent) in a field relevant to the project – fish physiology, molecular biology, proteomics, fish health or fish nutrition.
Candidates with hands-on experience in one or more of the following techniques – molecular biology techniques, proteomics, RIA or ELISA, would be considered for the position.
Proficiency in oral and written English is essential and must be documented either by the Norwegian Higher Education Entrance Qualification or internationally recognised certificates, such as TOEFL, IELTS, APIEL or similar. Skills in Scandinavian language is an advantage for the position.

International students can apply for the Dutch-taught programmes if completed at least 6 years of secondary school and their diploma is an equivalent of the Dutch HAVO diploma. Once they received candidate application, the level of cadidate high school diploma will be evaluated by the International Office and the study advisor of the programme of candidate choice. Please note that all study programmes except Food Design & Innovation require an adequate level of knowledge in mathematics, chemistry and/or biology.

All students who are not Dutch native speakers need to submit proof of their language skills before they can be admitted to a Dutch-taught programme.
