The New Zealand Aid Programme offers several different types of scholarship. There are four types of scholarships for full-time tertiary level study in New Zealand:

Levels/Fields of study:

Depending on the country you are from, New Zealand Scholarships are available for the following level of studies: Postgraduate Certificate (6 months), Postgraduate Diploma (1 year), Masters Degree (1 – 2 years) or PhD (up to 3.5 years).

Preferred fields of study are those that are most relevant to the development needs of your country (i.e. renewable energy, agriculture development, disaster risk management, private sector development, public sector development). Find out the preferred subjects for your country.

Requirements:-

Be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencing your scholarship.

• Be a citizen of the country from which you are applying for a scholarship and have resided in that country for at least the last two years.

• Not a citizen or permanent resident of any the following countries: New Zealand, Australia, Israel, South Korea, Japan, USA, any European Union country, Qatar, United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. • Have at least one year full time (two-year’s part time) work experience relevant to your career and/or preferred qualification unless you are applying straight from school or during my first year of tertiary study (for countries offered undergraduate study).

• Intend to return to your home country for a minimum of two years on completion of the scholarship.
