The programme is closely associated with the MIRA Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine. MIRA ranks among the top five bioengineering departments worldwide. The researchers at MIRA will be responsible for your training.
The programme focuses on three key areas: Imaging & Diagnostics, which is all about techniques for visualizing and interpreting the processes in cells and bodies based on radiation, acoustics, photo-acoustics, ultrasound, and magnetism; Bionanotechnology & Advanced Biomanufacturing, which centres on the development of technologies that restore function to diseased and damaged organs and tissues, such as bone and blood vessels; and Neural & Motor Systems, which focuses on the restoration of nervous and motor system function.
